I was part of the camera team that helped film this fantastic flashmob at The Trafford Centre on the 4th of March.

A great atmosphere and around 400 dancers. It was a great.

It has been a while since I last updated my blog and since the last time I have obtained a fantastic job with the Trafford Centre as part of the team in charge of The Big Screen.

I have worked on some great events which have included filming Steps, Steve Coogan and Gok Wan.

On top of filming I have also edited together a lot of adverts and several programmes.
One of the best things however is that I’m getting more and more chances to use my 7D and other cameras. Below are some examples of work I’ve been a second camera on.

Showreel Now on YouTube and Further News

I’ve finally had the time and bandwith to upload my showreel to YouTube, so that my playlist seems a bit more complete.

In further news I recently filmed a live performance of the band Paper Tiger (note: it was only one shot and was done because they urgently needed a video for the song, some nice bits and pieces in there though). As well as this I’m working on two music videos for upcoming Leeds based rapper (and Paper Tiger frontman) Raphael Attar which should be finished around the beginning of September to coincide with the release of his mixtape “Cool But Rude.”

Vengeance of a Deadman – Producers Cut

I was hired to direct Vengeance of a Deadman by an editor studying his masters at Bournemouth University. When it came to the final edit I had agreed not to be involved, as the producer had to edit the course for his masters.
I believe this cut holds strengths but also includes and excludes a few moments I would cut away. The sound had to be dubbed in post.

It was shot in the Summer of 2010 on a Canon 7D. Full credits can be found at the end of the film.
Keep an eye out later this year for the directors cut.

I’ve been working on a short film recently, infact I’ve still got some of it left to film.

In the mean time here are some stills, taken straight from the camera. These have not been altered at all.
Shot on the Canon 7D, from the cuts of the footage we have had so far I am quite pleased. The title is Vengeance of a Deadman and it is unlikely that will change but, if it does, I’ll let you know here.

I have recently fallen into possession (and by fallen into possession I mean scraped together money) of a Canon 7D.
It’s a beautiful piece of kit and I shall be exploring photography along with film.

The 7D will be getting its first test in June as I direct my first proper piece in over a year, A Western short film. The piece is currently called Vengeance of a Deadman and I shall make sure to keep the blog updated with photos and, if possible, behind the scene snippets.
